The new tax season arrived. Form 1040 and FinCEN 114.
The IRS set Monday, Jan. 23, as the beginning of the nation’s 2023 tax season, when the agency will begin accepting and processing 2022 tax year returns. With the three previous tax seasons dramatically impacted by the pandemic, the IRS has taken additional steps for 2023 to improve service for taxpayers. As part of the August passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the IRS has hired more than 5,000 new telephone assistors and added more in-person staff to help support taxpayers.
Please, start uploading all the required documents for us to prepare you tax returns, as soon as possible. For this year we have a larger team in US Tax Consultants and our goal will be a drastically reduction of preparation days of your returns and reports.
New booking options for the free consultation appointments.
This year we have also increase the number of Tax Prepares in our office up to four and we have also increased the booking options for free consultation with more people and all the services. Please, be sure that you find your best time/day by checking the different timing for each professional.
Reduction of the preparation process
You will also notice that this year 2023 we have reduced the preparation days for the different services and our goal for the form 1040 will be to complete the preparation process in 15 days. Please check carefully the 8 steps process of the service requested and upload all the documents required as soon as possible.
More Tax Preparers in our office
We have also increased the number of Certified Tax Preparers, up to four, which will give us the capacity of reducing the preparation time and the supervision. All the tax preparers have participated in the Annual Filing Season Program which is a voluntary program that recognizes the efforts of return preparers who are generally not attorneys, certified public accountants, or enrolled agents. The IRS issues an Annual Filing Season Program Record of Completion to return preparers who obtain a certain number of continuing education hours in preparation for a specific tax year and pass the correspondent exams in ethics and U.S. Tax Legislation.
